Red Hot American Summer (2026)

I am a 21-year-old artist and designer from Portland, Oregon. I like to say my first introduction to the art world was through my older brother. He was a big skateboarder, and although I was more of a scooter kid, I paid close attention to the art, graphics, and fashion that are aligned with skate culture. I’ve been in the design world since I was born. My father is an architect, and my mother is a veterinary technician turned interior decorator. My grandmas are sculptors, painters, and art therapists, so I feel that art and design course through my veins.
Growing up, I was obsessed with comic books and anything in the sci-fi/horror world. As I’ve gotten older, a lot of my creative inspiration comes from the visual identity of musicians. Some of my favorites include Outkast, The Strokes, Travis Scott, Carseat Headrest, Kendrick Lamar, and Tyler, the Creator, to name a few.
In high school, I took a digital media pathway, and in college I studied Environmental Product Design. I’ve also taken graphic design studios in Copenhagen, and I try to make as much of my own art as I can, always exploring new mediums and techniques. I enjoy working in both the 2D and 3D world. If I were to pursue product design, it is very important to me that I don’t produce plastic junk that’ll end up in the landfill. I think sustainable materiality and longevity are crucial when it comes to products.
I believe that art should be both a message and an expression, because our world is too fucked up to just make “cool things.” That being said, I love cool things.
